It is always worth remembering that in the game of Oklahoma Rummy just one single deck of cars is used and therefore when a player has picked up a card you needed or they have discarded it you will obviously not be able to get that card so you should then be concentrating on the melds in your hand, and maybe consider passing on some options

Keep Watching
One of the major qualities of a good Oklahoma Rummy player is the ability to closely observe the game and never take ones eyes of the cards, this allows you to be fully aware of which cards are still in play by virtue of watching what cards have been discarded or picked up.

Tournament Play
An excellent tip especially when playing in tournaments is to always try and catch your opponents off guard and do so by knocking as a way to accumulate points. Also in ring games the same applies and by knocking early you avoid the risk of undercut

Forming Melds
A very good tip and one that is to do with forming melds, you will want to be forming these melds and put great emphasis on making 4 of a kind sets and not consecutive melds, the reason for this is that you will be preventing your opponents from laying their deadwood and attaching it to your meld.

Drawing the right cards
It sounds obvious but you should never underestimate drawing the right cards when playing online Oklahoma Rummy. It is an art and a skill and will have the biggest effect to the outcome of the game. When you are drawing a card at the start of the game, it is best that you pick a card from the stock pile rather then the discard pile. By doing so will stop your opponents monitoring what cars you are holding
